A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
TO DISKING INTERNATIONAL Limited
A long, long time ago, before the internet existed, Disking was busy selling floppy disks by mail order. As the business grew so did our customer base. Disking was selling them directly to large retailers like John Lewis Stores and W.H.Smith. However, it wasn’t long until these retail giants changed to purchasing direct.
Disking needed to make changes, so it moved into the computer stationery market. Glossy Photo paper, DIY business cards and T-shirt transfers were big sellers. Inkjet printers had become affordable tools for working from home professionals.
High resolution photos printed at home was a luxury almost everyone could now afford. This market was a popular one for us with our range of “PC Pieces” popular across the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, the stationery market had become crowded and so it was time to evolve once more.
We decided to open a small retail outlet in Farnham. The store was a massive success and we soon moved into a bigger shop just 50 yards away and it wasn’t long before we opened further stores across the south.
Disking currently operates five retail outlets located in Farnham, Hindhead, Liphook, Midhurst and Petersfield.

Disking Locations: A Walk Down Memory Lane
Our Farnham store was our very first retail venture, and it holds a special place in our journey. Originally located opposite WHSmith’s, we relocated just 100 metres around the corner opposite Sainsbury’s when the Bush Hotel reclaimed the original space. Today, Farnham remains one of our busiest locations, thanks to its extensive service catchment area.
For convenient parking, we recommend using the Sainsbury’s car park — it’s just a short walk from the store.
After 25 years of serving the community, we’re proud to be the go-to destination for all things computer-related. As part of our ongoing store refit programme, Farnham has recently undergone a full upgrade to enhance both customer experience and staff working conditions. Efficiency is at the heart of everything we do, and we’ve truly gone above and beyond to make this store one of our finest.

Disking began its journey in the 1980s, with Hindhead as our very first operational base. Back then, it served as both an office and warehouse for our mail order business, distributing floppy disks across the UK and overseas. As technology evolved, so did we — expanding into PC stationery, from home printing products like glossy and parchment papers to media storage pouches for Zip Disks and CDs.
Originally located at No.1 Royal Parade, our Hindhead store has since moved just a few doors down to No.3 Royal Parade. With free parking right outside and only 100 metres from the old A3, it’s easy to find and even easier to visit.
We’ve recently completed a high-standard refit of the store, reflecting our commitment to improving both customer experience and operational efficiency. The renovation included a newly fitted office for our Business Support Team, which quickly outgrew the space due to increasing demand. The team now operates from our larger offices in Liphook, located at:

Our central warehouse and head office in Liphook proudly supports all Disking staff and stores across three counties. It’s a special location, close to local schools and neighbourhoods — a place where some of our junior directors grew up, making it a meaningful part of our company’s story.
The site is home to our retail store and service centre, featuring a well-stocked shop and a team of specialist technicians. These experts handle more complex repairs, including mainboard damage caused by fluid spills or physical impact, and provide vital support to our other stores.
Our Business Support Team is also based here, ensuring smooth operations across the company. With plenty of free parking right outside, it’s a popular and convenient choice for customers and staff alike.

Originally located on the high street, our Midhurst store is now proudly based at the Tourist Information Centre, nestled near the entrance of the North Street Car Park. Parking is free for one hour, though do remember to collect a ticket from the machine.
We’re proud to be Midhurst’s largest stockist — and quite possibly the only one — of ink cartridges, Canon printers, and HP laptops. But our service doesn’t stop there. Whether you’re facing Windows upgrade issues, struggling with phone apps, or need tech support for a device not purchased from us, we’re here to help.

Our Petersfield store is one of our oldest and most established locations, proudly serving the community since the 1990s. Conveniently located at No. 7a Dragon Street, it’s just a two-minute walk from the square, with a handy four-car lay-by right outside for parking.
With over 25 years of service, the store has built a strong reputation for reliability and friendliness. As part of our ongoing store upgrade programme, Petersfield has recently undergone a full refurbishment. A fresh, modern interior and improved layout have transformed the space, creating a more welcoming environment for customers and a more efficient workspace for our team.
Thanks to thoughtful planning by our senior staff and store managers, the repair workshop now runs more smoothly and offers a cheerful atmosphere for both staff and visitors.
